Thai Peanut Sauce


  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. fish sauce
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. minced ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. red chile flakes (or more)


  • Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan, adding the water last. Heat on medium until the sauce begins to bubble and thicken. Taste and adjust as needed by adding more sugar, lime juice, or chili flakes.
  • Serve hot or cold.
  • This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
