“I GET SO MUCH DONE WHEN I DRINK COFFEE!!!!!”  I say, stomping around my house, picking up clothes, dusting a counter, dishes into dishwasher, bed made, fresh from the shower, towel top of my head to mop up wet hair.  Eyeliner can be an issue due to immense shaking from the caffeine high, but it’s worth it.  I’m conquering the world, it seems, and in only a few hours!

This is what a Productive Alcoholic looks like.

The caffeine shoots through my veins like a space shuttle to Mars.  Add sugar and cream for a good morning treat and I dare you to catch up.  It seems as though my feet can’t keep up with the torso, my brain shooting in a thousand directions.

Then the Frangelico kicks in, a hazelnut flavored liquor from Northern Italy.  All bets are off.  Every song is my favorite; I’m walking, no, dancing through the day.  I can’t be sane in any longer, I’ve got to move, rhythmically to the beat.

“Where are we going?”

I don’t care, picking things up, putting things down.  This looks better here, change that, do this!  I’m a machine of productivity, spouting liquid courage at every turn.  Is it Wednesday?  Who remembers!!!  Get to work, but first, hold my purse.  This song is the JAM!

"The Productive Alchoholic"

Foodie Note: I love to brew coffee from a Bialetti Espresso pot. It makes very intensely strong coffee. Every morning I have a little left over, so I pour it into a jar to store in the refrigerator. You can also do this on purpose. Brew a cup or two of your favorite coffee; pour into a container and cool. Use this to make The Productive Alcoholic.
