Did you hear the rumors? The ones that suggested that Top Chef was filming in Seattle? They started innocently enough this past summer…on Twitter, Facebook, certain blogs…someone saw Padma at Pike Place Market behind a curtain…Top Chef was scouting Melrose Market… which Whole Foods will they be shopping at for the challenges? Okay! Now it’s real. They are really here! Judges were spotted at Walrus and The Carpenter, Canon, What the Pho, and FareStart. Some sites asked for submissions of Seattle-related Top Chef challenge ideas (awesome! We’ll talk about this later). Anyway, I’m obsessed! I’ve seen every season since the beginning and can’t believe they are finally here in Seattle.
So, to celebrate, and hopefully get you all to watch and share the fun along with me, we have created A Passionate Plate Top Chef Seattle Giveaway!
TO ENTER: Comment on this post and answer the question:
“What is your favorite ‘foodie’ show?”
THE PRIZE:
An awesome gift selection from Market Spice in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market (our favorite store in a market we are sure will get a lot of attention on this season of Top Chef).
The winner will be randomly selected and announced here on November 28.
Be sure to tune in for Top Chef Season 10 on Bravo – Wednesday nights at 10pm.
Your knowledge of the show may come in handy later in the month…

Next Food Network Star
Triple D with Guy
Top chef
I love Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, Top Chef , Chopped and many more!!!!
The foodie show that got me interested in cooking was The Galloping Gourmet, which featured my favorite chef, Graham Kerr. Brilliance, humor, and delicious food. The perfect combination.
Cooking with Julie Taboule on PBS
Lidias Kitchen always makes me head to my kitchen.
I have to say that i love almost everything on the food network – chopped is great. My guilty pleasure is watching Ramsey on Kitchen Nightmares – while he is raising caine and whacking stuff, some of the dishes he creates for these folks are amazing….
I love Top Chef. I was so excited to hear they were finally doing Seattle!
The River Cottage featuring Hugh Fearnley Whitingstall. Brilliant cooking show.
When we’re in the US, Chopped is my favorite — and we’re sad that we don’t get to watch Top Chef or the Food Channel in Japan! (But they are starting a new Iron Chef series… New MC, but same cheesy outfit as the original.)
The chefs was seen at Pike Place Market, various Whole Foods stores and top restaurants, such as Canlis.
I love so many… but I think one of my favorites is Top Chef Masters.
I love Chopped but my favorite show is Melissa d’Arabian’s Ten Dollar Dinners. She’s practical, smart, and has great ideas and cooking tips for low budget cooking!
Top chef of course!
I love Chopped and all the different cake challenges they come up with. Halloween wars this October was awesome.
We probably watch the Food Channel more than any other. My favorites are the Iron Chef competitions and Chopped, but we enjoy them all. Helen may have a different opinion!
Jim Oswald
Diners, Dives, and Drive-ins
I’m torn between Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, and Chopped! They are all such great shows!!!
My favorite type of foodie show are the ‘War’ ones….Halloween Wars, Cupcake Wars, etc…..because these are the ones #1 Grandchild likes to watch with me. She’s almost 7, so I hope to start her off as a ‘foodie’ young
while i used to enjoy top chief very much, i have been w/o a tv since it broke a couple of months ago and i can’t afford a new one so i will not be able to follow them in their settle experience.
i love Top Chef, Diners Drive Ins and Dives, and Mexico One Plate At A Time
Top chef is my favorite foodie show. A close second would be America’s Test Kitchen
My newest show,,,is….Sweet Genius…..it’s hystarical.
Do you know how much I *LOVE* Market Spice Tea? It’s my favorite! I have to stop by Pike Place Market in Seattle every time I’m there (which is only every few years or so). Occasionally, I go online to order the stuff, too, but the selection isn’t as Grand.
Oh… and I love Top Chef, too… Hubby and I never miss an episode! It’s probably my favorite Foodie Show. But I do love me some Food Network, too… There are just too many shows to pick a favorite, I guess!
Top Chef, of course! Followed by Top Chef Masters and Chopped.
